INTEGRATIONAL PERSPECTIVES OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESS IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
Support USAID Macroeconomic Project

The contribution of small and medium sized business in countries with high rate of fuel energy complex in economic as well as Kazakhstan is warping by business climate on oil. As a result of the oil price growth and outrunning of oil gas sector the ratio of SME in GDP of Kazakhstan reduced in spite of general positive dynamics. SME in Kazakhstan is more developed than in Russia. Here we should mention that nearly all agricultural sectors are considered SME. Thus we may state that the SME differences in our countries are small. Approximately law contribution of SME in our countries notifies about some barriers in sector’s development.

GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS: OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDUSTRIALIZATION
Organizer: ”Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists” Association

The spectacular growth of emerging market economies in the pre-crisis period, largely driven by rising commodity prices, did not necessarily reflect an increase in the value-added production or a notableshift towards more industrialized content. Now that the financial crisis put an end to commodities boom and significantly affected resourceexport revenues of developing countries, moving towards industrialization might become even more difficult, while at the same time more necessary than ever before to secure these countries’ future. What are the opportunities and challengesposed by the crisis for building industrial capacity of emerging market countries and their development prospects?

DIALOGUE WITH EDWARD LUTTWAK GEO- ECONOMICS OR ORGANIC GROWTH?
Organizer: ”Eurasian economic club of scientists” Association

Most raw materials are bought and sold internationally through normal commerce between suppliers and buyers, whether on a spot basis or under term contracts. But in recent years, in the name of "economic security", there have been many efforts to buy not just the raw materials but also the mines or deposits where they come from, sometimes entering into broader political arrangements with the countries in question in the hope of better securing these investments. This is a form of "geo-economics" (the logic of strategy with the methods of commerce). What are the benefits, costs and risks of this kind of "geo-economic" procurement for raw material exporters?

DIALOGUE OF LEADERS: NEW FINANCIAL ECONOMIC POLICY”
Organizers: Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists Association

World leaders from various spheres – ranging from the financial sector to new technologies – have been invited to participate in the debate to Astana. They will be joined in the discussions by representatives of the Kazakhstan Government.

Key questions:
- Review of current financial and economic shocks:
- Economic threats: the Eurozone crisis, recession in the U.S., China's overheating economy. Also, instability and inefficiency of the global financial and economic system: Is this a situation of long-term imbalances or just a short-term crash?
- The role and impact of credit rating agencies.
- The Arab spring, the anti-Wall Street campaign and the social consequences of economic shocks. Has the world financial system become a model of social inequality?
- Is it time for the transformation of the global economy and the rebalancing of the financial system? Is the world ready for new challenges and realities?
- Consideration of G-20 financial regulation and supervision commitments. Whether G-20 meets modern realities, and the future of the global economy. Is it time for a larger global participation in the development of a global world?
- The notion of new regional currencies – will they be a way to restructure the global financial system?
