Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

  The III Astana Economic Forum will be held in July 1-2, 2010 in Astana City and devoted to the issues of providing sustainable economic growth in post-crisis period.

  The goals of the III Astana Economic Forum are:

• Development of the mechanisms for formation of conditions promoting long-term stable development of the world economies in post-crisis period on the basis of the consolidation of the state economic policies, science and private sector achievements;
• Assistance in the image development of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a rapidly developing country with a great potential for an economic growth.

   We would like to achieve our goals with the III Astana Economic Forum, resolving the following fundamental tasks:

• Discussion of an optimal economic structure in post-crisis period;
• Creating conditions for development of new structures for a stable, competitive economy;
• New concept for a favorable investment climate for the realization of innovative projects;
• Discussion the creation of a new financial architecture promoting a long-term and stable economic development;
• Attracting potential investors for the innovative projects (exhibition of industrial-innovative projects);
• Exchange of practice and scientific developments between scientific schools of the world.

   Honored guests, who confirmed their participation in the Forum are: Nursultan Nazarbaev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Marc Perrin de Brichambaut , General Secretary OSCE; Muhammad Maarufi, General Secretary OEC; Nobel Prize Winners Finn E. Kydland, Robert A. Mundell; Zhao Shaoyu, Vice President of Asian Development Bank and other leading economic scientists and politicians from various countries.

   More than 2000 representatives of political and business arena from more than 50 countries of the world will take part in the work of the III Astana Economic Forum. Among participants are Nobel Prize winners, also leading economists, politicians, representatives of scientific and research institutes, international organizations, governments, NGO, business, high schools, universities, and media, who will gather here to discuss key issues for developing a global economy.

   The two-day program is dedicated to the issues of innovation, business, industry, international trade, export and import, customs union, energy, ecology, international financial and currency systems, Islamic financing and youth development. Within the frames of the Forum the exhibition of scientific works and innovative projects, contests for the best research works and two events with the participation of the international organizations concerning the issues of the role of information and communication technologies and development of “green” economy will take place.

   Final documents of the III Astana Economic Forum is an important contribution to unfold new approaches for the development of economies, expand the boundaries for mutually beneficial cooperation not only in Eurasia, but also in the entire international community in post-crisis period.
